​At NIT, powered by Arizona State University, we believe that financial constraints should never stand in the way of academic excellence and global opportunity. That’s why we offer a range of scholarships and financial aid options for undergraduate students — based on both merit and demonstrated financial need.

MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

Merit Scholarships are to be awarded based on the criteria as follows:

 

Aggregate Merit  70% – 79.9 %  shall receive 20 % tuition fee waiver

Aggregate Merit  80% – 84.9 %  shall receive 30 % tuition fee waiver

Aggregate Merit  85% – 89.9 %  shall receive 40 % tuition fee waiver

Aggregate Merit  90% – 100 %  shall receive Chancellor’s Inaugural Scholarship of 100% Tuition Fee Waiver

 

The Calculation of the merit-based scholarship and its weightage is as follows:

 

  • 75% weightage shall be given to marks obtained in Matriculation/ O levels/ IB MYP

  • 25% weightage shall be given to marks obtained in the Intermediate Year 1, A1/As, IB Diploma Year 1

 

The Percentage Calculation for matriculation shall be based on IBCC conversion calculator available at:https://ibcc.edu.pk/conversion-for-equivalence .

NEED-BASED FINANCIAL AID

Need-based Award of scholarships shall be to successful admits who qualify based on:

  • Genuine demonstrated financial need.

  • Determination of genuine financial need shall be based on a comprehensive list of documents and verifications provided to all students who wish to apply.

Application Requirement include the following:

  • Statement of Special Circumstances

  • Financial circumstances (rental agreement, utility bills for 6 months, Tax Returns of parents)

  • Financial aid status of siblings (in other schools)

  • Proof of residence

  • Previous scholarship letters

Terms and Conditions:

  • Candidate shall be required to qualify for admission after the results of the Final Transcripts of A-level Year 2, Intermediate Year 2, or IB Diploma Final Year.

  • Maintenance of merit scholarship shall be contingent upon maintaining a minimum semester GPA of 3.5 or above.

  • Scholarship shall be evaluated and adjusted on a bi-annual basis.

  • Changes to the scholarship shall be adjusted within the tuition fee automatically.

  • Students awarded financial aid shall have to fulfill on-campus employment requirements.
