Dr. SYED AUN ABBAS
DEAN - Faculty of Data Sciences & Information Technology
Dr. Syed Aun Abbas is a distinguished academic, researcher, and entrepreneur with over three decades of experience across higher education, industry, and public service and . He earned his Masters and PhD from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada on a Government of Pakistan S&T Scholarship. He worked in Canada and USA with large corporations (Nortel, Ericsson, LG) and silicon valley successful start-up (Centillium). He has been the CEO of National ICT R&D Fund, currently known as Ignite. He has been a successful entrepreneur who has grown start-ups to profitability. He has also taught at UET Lahore, LUMS and FAST-NUCES, where he has until July 2025 served as a Professor. He has supervised dozens of undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Abbas has won many research grants and published and presented papers in many National and International Conferences. He has been a significant contributor to many American (ANSI), European (ETSI) and International (ITU-T) standards. He was an Associate Rapporteur in ITU-T SG15/Q4 and Editor of many IT-T Recommendations. Dr. Abbas holds four US patents. His career required extensive international travel connecting him to professionals in many countries and organizations. Lately, his research interests revolve around application of machine learning and AI techniques in communication, energy and human systems. Dr. Abbas’s career reflects a deep commitment to innovation, mentorship, and advancing sustainable technologies on a global scale.
Dr. SIDRA NASEEM
Assistant Professor - Business, School of Management Sciences
Dr. Sidra Naseem is an academic and researcher with over seven years of experience in academia, blending teaching expertise, research insight, and administrative acumen. She holds a PhD in Management from Putra Business School, Universiti Putra Malaysia (AACSB accredited). Her research interests include diversity, equity and inclusion, human resource management, organisational behaviour, entrepreneurship, and the role of artificial intelligence in business education, with work presented at leading international conferences. She reviews for the Academy of Management, British Academy of Management, European Academy of Management, and the South Asian Journal of Human Resource Management. She has served at renowned universities, including an administrative role at REDC and as Research Associate at SDSB, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), and is a Certified Entrepreneurial Coach under the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Dr. SULEMAN SAMI QAZI
Assistant Professor Data Analytics
Dr. Suleman Sami Qazi is an interdisciplinary educator and researcher who earned his master’s and PhD degrees in Computational Semiconductor Device Physics from the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering at the Ira. A Fulton Schools of Engineering under the auspices of Arizona State University, in Tempe, Arizona.
Dr. Suleman is the recipient of the prestigious USAID Fulbright Scholarship. During his PhD, Suleman developed a novel framework for understanding thermal transport at the nanoscale inside a single transistor. His research and teaching focuses on computational modeling, photovoltaic systems, semiconductor devices, and operations strategy.
Dr. Suleman has over 15 years of experience at various institutions of higher learning, research and development.
He is committed to advancing interdisciplinary research and fostering analytical thinking in the next generation of engineers and decision-makers.
Dr. MOHSIN ALI
Assistant Professor Mathematics
Dr. Mohsin Ali is a mathematician specializing in mathematical modeling of infectious disease dynamics. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Dr. Ali is known for his clarity in instruction and deep commitment to student development. Dr. Ali’s research interests lie in using mathematical tools to investigate public health problems. His ongoing projects explore cross-border analysis of Monkeypox and the role of vaccination in co-infection dynamics.


Dr. MUHAMMAD ASIF
Chief Librarian & Information Management Professional
With over 18 years of experience in academic leadership, teaching, university library management, and academic research support, Dr. Asif possess expertise in implementing and managing library systems, discovery mechanisms, and online resource control. He has strong leadership skills, having trained and mentored library staff, developed policies, and collaborated with academic stakeholders.
SALIK SAMEEN
Lecturer, Department of Data Sciences & Information Technology
Salik is a young academic who has worked at various levels within the education sector in Pakistan. He has previously served as a Lecturer at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore.
Salik has an MS in Computer Science from LUMS and is currently completing his MSc in Applied Data Science from the University of Essex.
His research interests lie in Educational Technology (EdTech)—particularly in exploring how technology can be leveraged to enhance learning outcomes.


Dr. SYED MOHAMMAD IRTEZA
Assistant Professor, Department of Data Sciences & Information Technology
Dr Syed Mohammad Irteza is an Assistant Professor at NIT. He has over 12 years experience of university teaching and software development. He completed his PhD in Computer Science from LUMS. He has presented his work at some of the best research conferences in computer networks, such as ACM SIGCOMM and IEEE INFOCOM.
Dr. AFTAB ALI
Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics
Dr. Aftab Ali is a mathematician whose research focuses on spectral theory, quantum graphs, and differential operators on metric graphs. He recently completed his PhD in Mathematics from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Dr. Ali has taught a wide range of undergraduate mathematics courses at LUMS and has contributed significantly to curriculum development, especially in designing a rigorous and accessible first-year Precalculus course. He is the winner of the NMF Gold Medal in MS Mathematics.
