Position Overview
NIT invites applications from exceptional leaders for the position of Dean, School of Management Sciences. The Dean will serve as the chief academic, executive, and administrative officer of the School, reporting to the Provost, Chief Academic Officer of NIT. The successful candidate will be an accomplished academic and visionary leader capable of steering the School through its next phase of growth, global accreditation, and strategic partnerships, both within Pakistan and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
· Define and execute the School’s vision, mission, and strategic plan, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
· Drive innovation and transformation in business education, embracing digitalization, AI integration, and global perspectives.
Academic Excellence & Quality Assurance
· Oversee curriculum design and delivery, ensuring compliance with ASU standards and international accreditation frameworks (ACBSP, AACSB, NBEAC, HEC).
· Establish robust systems for academic integrity, program review, and continuous improvement supported by data analytics.
Faculty Development & Engagement
· Lead faculty recruitment, development, and performance evaluation, fostering an inclusive, high-performance academic culture.
· Define faculty profiles, workload distribution, and recognition systems to support teaching, research, and service excellence.
Research & Knowledge Creation
· Champion impactful, solutions-oriented research that contributes to social, economic, and scientific development.
· Promote international publications, collaborative projects, and knowledge exchange to enhance the School’s scholarly reputation.
Student Success & Experience
· Ensure student feedback informs decision-making and initiatives that drive learning effectiveness and career outcomes.
· Expand experiential learning, entrepreneurship programs, and industry engagement to enrich student opportunities.
Growth & Program Innovation
· Develop strategies for enrollment growth through program expansion, differentiation, new delivery modalities, and targeted marketing.

Financial Stewardship
· Define and manage the School’s annual budget, optimizing resources and identifying new revenue streams.
· Implement operational efficiencies to ensure financial sustainability.

· Drive continuous improvement in academic processes and outcomes.
· Secure and maintain prestigious accreditations and implement communication strategies to elevate global reputation.
Essential Qualifications
· PhD (Doctorate) in Management Sciences, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field from an HEC-recognized or UNESCO-listed institution.
· Demonstrated experience in academic administration at the level of Dean, Associate Dean, or Head of Department (preferably within a multidisciplinary or business school environment).
· Distinguished academic record, including recognized research, teaching excellence, and publications in reputable journals.
· Proven ability in strategic planning, budgetary and financial management, and organizational development.
· Deep understanding of NBEAC, ACBSP or AACSB accreditation or equivalent international quality assurance processes.
· Strong capacity to build teams, manage change, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
· Excellent communication, representation, and networking skills across academic, corporate, and government circles.
· Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student success.

The Assistant Manager for Quality Assurance & Accreditations will support the implementation of institutional quality frameworks and accreditation standards.
The role involves coordinating academic and administrative reviews, preparing compliance documentation for local and international accrediting bodies, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the university.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Director in implementing quality assurance and continuous improvement frameworks across academic and administrative units.
Develop, monitor, and report on key quality assurance indicators to ensure institutional accountability and academic effectiveness.
Prepare documentation and reports for local and international accreditation bodies (HEC, ASU, NCEAC, NBEAC, AACSB, ABET, etc.), and act as the focal person during visits and evaluations.
Coordinate with program heads and academic departments to align curricula with accreditation standards, learning outcomes, and institutional mission.
Oversee faculty evaluations, student, alumni, and employer surveys, and course reviews, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for quality enhancement.
Draft, review, and update self-assessment reports, faculty profiles, policy documents, and institutional quality assurance policies in line with HEC and global frameworks.
Organise internal and mock accreditation reviews, ensuring timely readiness and compliance.
Prepare institutional data for national and international rankings (QS, THE, HEC, UI Green Metric, etc.) and benchmark practices against peer universities.
Support faculty and staff development initiatives to strengthen quality and accreditation processes.
Provide secretarial and analytical support to governance bodies including Academic Council, Board of Studies, and QEC Committees, and compile annual quality and accreditation reports for senior management.
Manage QA portals, SIS/LMS integration, and institutional dashboards, ensuring timely and accurate data submission to accreditation and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Education, Management, or related fields.
4–5 years’ relevant experience in quality assurance and accreditation processes at an HEC-recognized university.
Strong understanding of accreditation frameworks (local and international).
Excellent analytical, report writing, analytical, and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities
