NIT, Pakistan’s premier American-affiliated university, will launch in October 2025, following the awarding of its Federal Charter.
Located in Lahore, the institute will open with two inaugural faculties—the School of Management Sciences and the School of Data Sciences and Information Technology—and will begin accepting applications from May 19, 2025.

We are proud to announce that on April 16, 2025, at Arizona State University’s Tempe campus, the National Institute of Technology (NIT) officially entered into a landmark partnership with Arizona State University (ASU). This historic signing ceremony was attended by Douglas L. Becker (Founder & Chairman of Cintana Education), Michael M. Crow (President of ASU), and Shahzeb Shabbir (Founder & Chancellor of NIT).
This partnership marks a new era for NIT and higher education in Pakistan. By joining forces with ASU – the No.1 ranked university in the U.S. for innovation for 10 consecutive years (2016-2025) by U.S. News & World Report – NIT becomes Pakistan’s first American university. Together, we will bring ASU’s world-class, innovative educational model to Pakistan, offering our students a transformative learning experience.
